Amira Soleimani is a passionate Jewish educator and curriculum designer. Amira currently serves as the Director of Judaic Studies Curriculum and Instruction at Hillel Day School of Metropolitan Detroit. Prior to joining Hillel, Amira served as the Head of the Bible Department at the Frankel Jewish Academy of Metropolitan Detroit. She holds a triple BA in Judaic Studies, Ancient Civilizations and Biblical Studies, and Hebrew and Jewish Cultural Studies from the University of Michigan, an MA in Talmud from Tel Aviv University, and a Certificate in Talmud, Jewish Thought, and Pedagogy from the Shalom Hartman Melamdim School for Teacher Education.
Laura Pasek is a passionate educator and teacher leader who has been in the field for the past 14 years. Her professional interests include integration across subject areas, merging social/emotional learning and Jewish values, and finding opportunities to explore Jewish identity within the general education curriculum.
Her passion lies in leveraging the uniqueness of Jewish education to promote authentic learning experiences both for teachers and students.
She currently holds an M. Ed in teacher leadership and an MAT in elementary education, both from Brandeis University.
